A news channel in Taiwan is reporting that a Thai-speaking woman went berserk in a Charles & Keith shop, located Taiwan’s tallest building, Taipei 101.
Video footage from TVBS Taiwan, time-stamped yesterday, shows the woman speaking incoherently in Thai and disrupting the store’s display by pushing away bags and shoes.
Staff attempt to restrain her, but she becomes aggressive, prompting security and police to intervene.
A TVBS reporter stated, “The woman suddenly became irrational while walking in the mall. Many shoppers were astonished by her peculiar behaviour.”
The incident has gone viral, with Taiwanese social media users uploading several clips.
While some netizens in Taiwan claim that the woman is a Thai national, others think she is Taiwanese, but has a Thai boyfriend.
The woman was sent to the Songde Branch of Taipei City Hospital, on suspicion that she was under the influence of drugs, as she kept muttering and then yelling.
The incident also went viral in Thailand and has been reported by Thai mainstream media.
