No one knew that Lisa from BLACKPINK would be the artist to use Yaowarat, as the location for her latest music video for the song ‘ROCKSTAR’, when her production team sought filming permission from Samphanthawong district, the district chief Wallop Kietworasrikul said today.
Her team submitted an application to film in Yaowarat and other locations in the district without revealing the artist’s identity.
The team shot the music video from May 22to 24. Lisa was on set on May 23from 2am to 6am.
“We are immensely happy that the artist is Lisa and that she used our location in her music video,” Wallop said.
The director also thanked Lisa for helping promote Yaowarat, also known as Bangkok’s Chinatown, and other areas in the district by choosing them as locations.
Thai K-pop sensation Lisa just released “ROCKSTAR,” which surpassed two million views just one hour after its official release online. This is her first solo release since founding her own company, LLOUD Co.
