All educational personnel from the Education Ministry and students, who have visited six COVID-19 high risk countries, have been told to stop working in their offices or to take leave from classes for 14 days, under an intensified measure imposed by the Education Ministry to prevent the spread of the disease.

Education Minister Nuttapol Teepsuwan said he has instructed the education permanent secretary Mr. Prasert Boonruang to notify all educational units and schools about the new measure.

Parents of students who have visited the six countries, namely China, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan and Singapore, are also subject to the new measure.

Mr. Nuttapol emphasized that all educational units and schools must strictly adhere to the measure to prevent the spread of the disease.
