Thai K-pop sensation “Lisa” is back with her newest release, “ROCKSTAR”, which surpassed two million views just one hour after its official release. This is her first solo release since founding her own company, LLOUD Co.
Thai netizens were glued to their screens at 7am today, as Lalisa Manoban’s new video was officially released on LLOUD’s Youtube channel.
Many fans were already hyped, with a teaser of the video having been released on Wednesday, especially the scene depicting the artist standing under a spotlight in the middle of Bangkok’s Chinatown, known locally as Yaowarat Road.
This came as a surprise to many, as the famous street is usually bustling with locals and tourists, especially at night. In the video no crowds are to be seen.
Apart from Yaowarat Road, the abandoned New World Bang Lampoo shopping mall in Bangkok was also used as a location.
Meanwhile, many visitors were seen taking photos at Bangkok’s Chinatown last night, after learning the news that Lisa filmed her latest video there.
Several Thai brands and influencers also took this opportunity to re-edit the scene, to make it look as if they had stood in the middle of an empty Yaowarat Road, the same spot where the global star filmed her ROCKSTAR music video.
