PM to feature in talk show to communicate with the people on regular basis

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin will feature in a one-hour talk show, starting on May 11, on the Channel 11 and MCOT broadcast stations, to explain to the people his government’s performance and achievements.

The prime minister said that the program will enable him to communicate with the people on a regular basis, but it has not yet been decided whether the program will air weekly or monthly.

The format of the program, which is yet to be named, will change every now and then to offer some variety. The location of the talk show may also vary, depending on the situation, he added.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s Secretary-General, Dr Prommin Lertsuridej, said that the program may be a story-telling format initially, with the prime minister talking about various issues, including the government’s achievements and what it plans to do in the future.

He also said that the prime minister would prefer to have a moderator, instead of a one-man talk show, and the moderators from TV stations will work on rotation.

Full details of the program are being worked out and are expected to be finalised soon.
